Congratulations to all of you on finishing Season 2. We hope you enjoyed playing, even if some games may have been slightly one sided. HOWEVER, the season is not over yet! Currently, these are the standings on the ladder:

Well done to Envy for topping the ladder at the end of round 9, and sad face for Team Tummy for taking the wooden spoon (but should also be congratulated for making great strides since they started!). Also a big congratulations to everyone for making season 2 worth playing. There were definitely some good matches had, and some great new faces in the local scene that have helped make it all the more enjoyable.

There are 2 semi finals yet to come. The semi finals will be the following:

Rank 1: Envy vs Rank 4: The Bottom End

Rank 2: Hello vs Rank 2: RaZe (tie)

The winner of these two semi finals will face off in Season 2 Grand Finals, which we will bring to you live

But wait, there's more! This season, we are going to be doing a Horizon Brackets Final as well, between teams 5 and 6. We feel that this is a good way of having a showdown between two mid/up & coming teams. This final will be:

Rank 5: Aus vs Rank 6: Intent

We will be updating you with info regarding these matches as soon as they have been scheduled. There will be a break over the Easter period, and we hope that you all enjoy your time off with your 1kg Lindt bunnies. Can captains of the teams involved in the finals and semi finals please contact us (the admin team) so that we can schedule these games after Easter and get them casted too.

Also worth noting is that we will be having some tournaments designed to bridge the gap between season 2 and season 3 that will be running after the season 2 finals have finished. More details on these will be coming soon, but suffice to say, if you were a lower team this season that had an issue with playing some of the higher teams, we will be running some interim tournaments that will address this issue and will be much more rewarding.

AusNS2 has put together a West Coast Server for everyone to use. As teams from Australia start to play in NSL matches and scrim overseas teams, it's become increasingly apparent that we need a decent stable server with the best pings possible to play Americans and Europeans on. This server will be used primarily to facilitate those teams.

This server will also play a part in our plans to expand future specialised tournaments to include international teams. Expect more on that to come after this season of the league has finished.

The NSL balance mod is installed on this server, as it is required for NSL. Full mod info and the changelog can be found here:

Server Name: AusNS2 | West Coast

Season 2 of the AusNS2 league is well underway with some intense and fanstastic gameplay coming from all teams so far. As it stands, both envy and hello are tied at the top of the leaderboard on 8 points each, closely followed by RaZe, The Bottom End, and Gorge of Nazareth. However, with 8 rounds remaining, anything is possible. Team Tummy, who are the newest clan on the scene may easily be lulling everyone into a false sense of security and be bringing out their big tums in the middle of the tournament.

This season, there is a massive battle occuring in the low-mid tier of the league, meaning that many of new teams are getting to experience many close rounds to fight their way to the top. This weeks match of Numero Onos vs Aus looks to be cracker, and will be a close match for sure that could go anyones way. Team Intent vs Gorge of Nazareth also poses to be another interesting game. You can find a full write up of community memeber nezz's predictions here.

However, one of the biggest matchs this week, and probably for the season, is happening this Sunday at

    Hello vs Envy
    9pm AEDT | 2am PST | 11am CET

It is sure to be a whopping clash between some of the best players in Aus. If philogl manages not to get stuck under any stairs, we should be in for some close rounds. This match will be cast, and we post an update on that shortly.

You can also find the replay of this week's match between The Bottom End vs Team Tummy cast by Philogl & Jekt here:
Good luck to all teams this week, and may the gorge be with you. Always.
