Congratulations to all of you on finishing Season 2. We hope you enjoyed playing, even if some games may have been slightly one sided. HOWEVER, the season is not over yet! Currently, these are the standings on the ladder:

Well done to Envy for topping the ladder at the end of round 9, and sad face for Team Tummy for taking the wooden spoon (but should also be congratulated for making great strides since they started!). Also a big congratulations to everyone for making season 2 worth playing. There were definitely some good matches had, and some great new faces in the local scene that have helped make it all the more enjoyable.

There are 2 semi finals yet to come. The semi finals will be the following:

Rank 1: Envy vs Rank 4: The Bottom End

Rank 2: Hello vs Rank 2: RaZe (tie)

The winner of these two semi finals will face off in Season 2 Grand Finals, which we will bring to you live atwww.twitch.tv/ausns2

But wait, there's more! This season, we are going to be doing a Horizon Brackets Final as well, between teams 5 and 6. We feel that this is a good way of having a showdown between two mid/up & coming teams. This final will be:

Rank 5: Aus vs Rank 6: Intent

We will be updating you with info regarding these matches as soon as they have been scheduled. There will be a break over the Easter period, and we hope that you all enjoy your time off with your 1kg Lindt bunnies. Can captains of the teams involved in the finals and semi finals please contact us (the admin team) so that we can schedule these games after Easter and get them casted too.

Also worth noting is that we will be having some tournaments designed to bridge the gap between season 2 and season 3 that will be running after the season 2 finals have finished. More details on these will be coming soon, but suffice to say, if you were a lower team this season that had an issue with playing some of the higher teams, we will be running some interim tournaments that will address this issue and will be much more rewarding.

    Thanks!

    Hi AusNS2ers!

This is just a friendly reminder that signups for the AusNS2 League Season 2 close this Sunday night at midnight. If you had aspirations of creating a team to compete, i'd suggest doing so and entering as soon as possible. We're currently looking at 9 teams competing which is already more than last season which is awesome! We're also communicating with the SEA communities to see if they can get a team together, as we'd love to have them on board.

Additionally, our very own Seb with the help of our very own bonage has come up with an awesome trailer to build international excitement. Check it out, give it some love, all that jazz. UWE featured it on their homepage so we're already looking at a much higher profile league and more international interest, so get ready to be scrutinised by players all around the world.

    Check out the trailer here:

The AusNS2 League Season 1 has begun! If you head over to the league page you'll be able to see current standings, this week's schedule and indeed the schedule for the rest of the league. We've got 9 teams signed up and in the running, so it should be a great competition! Note that since we have an odd number of teams, each week one team has a bye. We're also still clarifying a couple of rules but these will be entered before any games are played and changes announced.

There is one important caveat for the first week of the league:

This round only, matches will need to be scheduled, dates entered, and results recorded manually. By next round, each match should have its own match page which can handle these things. This week however - please PM / steam / mumble / whatever any info you need to get into the league to myself or another league official.

Our aim is for teams to schedule their matches early so we can enter them into the system, and everyone can know when they're going to be. Remember, if you schedule your match early, it's roughly a billion percent more likely to be cast / streamed, and for people to pay attention to it. This is good for everyone. Once captains have decided amongst themselves when a match will be played, please let us know so we can enter it into the system. (again - next week this should be able to be done by captains themselves)

So get organising and get pumped! It's going to be a big league season!
