  • AusNS2 League Season 3 Semi-Finals and Finals

Last night marked the last weekly game of the season - and now the finals shall begin. As you can see, we have some tied up scores lines just to make it more interesting!

As such, Zeta Void and A-Team will play a best of five decider to see who makes it into the semi finals (same as format below).

With Envy and Hungry Together tied for first spot, we've decided to let envy take first seed based on their rankings from previous seasons. This means that Envy will play the winner of the A-Team vs Zeta Void in the semi finals.

Hungry Together will play Pi in the other semi final match. Ideally we would like these semi finals to be played over the next week, but we understand that its coming up to the busy end of the year. Could the captains of the teams above please get in contact and sort out your availabilities. Once you find an agreed time, can you post it in the forums so we can try organize streaming.

    The format

For the semis and the A-team Zeta Void decider, the format will be a best of 5.

NB: We're going to do things a little bit differently this season. We're going to try out a veto system for the maps.

    How it works:

    Best of Five Semi Final
    • In turns, teams will veto a map from the map pool below. Each team gets 2 vetos. They take turns in vetoing the maps.
    • From the remaining three maps, admins will randomise them, and two will be picked to be played. The third map is discarded.
    • Should the score be 2-2, there will be a coin toss for the final map.
    • The winner of the coin toss will pick either a map from the unused maps pool or side/race that they want to play, the other team will then pick a map or side/race, depending on what the first team chose.

    The map pool is:

    ns2_summit
    ns2_tram
    ns2_biodome
    ns2_descent
    ns2_caged
    ns2_jambi
    ns2_veil

    Best of Seven Finals
    • In turns, teams will veto a map from the map pool below. Each team gets 1 vetos. They take turns in vetoing the maps. Veto 1, Veto 2.
    • In turns, teams will then pick a map they want to play from the remaining pool. Pick 3, Pick 4.
    • From the remaining three maps, admins will randomise them, and two will be picked to be played. The third map is discarded.
    • Should the score be 3-3, there will be a coin toss for the final map.
    • The winner of the coin toss will pick either a map from the unused pool or side/race that they want to play, the other team will then pick a map or side/race, depending on what the first team chose.

Some exciting games on the horizon. We will keep you posted with stream times should they become available.

We wish the best of luck to all the teams involved in the finals, and would like to thank all the teams for participating in this season. It has been great!

Congratulations to all of you on finishing Season 2. We hope you enjoyed playing, even if some games may have been slightly one sided. HOWEVER, the season is not over yet! Currently, these are the standings on the ladder:

Well done to Envy for topping the ladder at the end of round 9, and sad face for Team Tummy for taking the wooden spoon (but should also be congratulated for making great strides since they started!). Also a big congratulations to everyone...

    Hi AusNS2ers!

This is just a friendly reminder that signups for the AusNS2 League Season 2 close this Sunday night at midnight. If you had aspirations of creating a team to compete, i'd suggest doing so and entering as soon as possible. We're currently looking at 9 teams competing which is already more than last season which is awesome! We're also communicating with the SEA communities to see if they can get a team together, as we'd love to have them on board. Additionally, our very ow...
