MF's Draft Tournament - Sunday 14th July 2013

  • MF's Draft Tournament - Sunday 14th July 2013

Draft Date: 8:00 PM Thursday 11th July 2013
    Tournament Date: Sunday 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM 14th July 2013 & Sunday 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM 21st July 2013

    Welcome to my Draft Tournament.

For those of you not familiar with a DT, you will signup by following the link below and be added to a pool of players. At 8:00PM Thursday, captains will select one-by-one their draft team until they have a team of 8. On Sunday, you will play the other draft teams once and team with the most points (won rounds) wins the Tourney.

I really want everyone to reach out and grab people from public games, Cybergamer, other gaming communities. The premise behind this Draft Tournament is to give people a chance to play in a 6v6 competitive ns2 environment and hopefully snag a few guys who will stick around to create / join teams.

    1. Round-robin tournament
    2. You must be on Mumble 8:00 PM Thursday 11th July or I will remove you from the draft list. The only exception is if people directly talk to me (and receive a response) and confirm they will be available all day Sunday
    3. Pretty simple, enjoy Mumble Details

Great night of games including an epic bash on Mineshaft, a little over 70 minutes I think it was.

Thank you everyone for the games and thank you mf- for organising. Looking forward to next Sunday.

If someone wants to do a write-up with replays and some brief match comments, I'm sure it would be frontpage worthy also. I wasn't able to check out much of the proceedings yesterday but the 20mins I did watch of (i think) midgets vs bus drivers was some pretty entertaining stuff.

It's probably less complicated an issue than I made it out to be. Just make sure new players are fielded and vets in the mumble list get priority over those that aren't?
Yeah mate, it was pretty easy to field new players over the regular comp/pug players so not too much drama. It certainly makes it a lot more interesting and fun. Enjoyed the games we played last night very much.

Welcome to our newest tournament – the inaugural AusNS2 Rising Stars Tournament! Also known as the AusNS2: Rise of the Tummy Tournament, this tournament is specifically aimed at allowing low tier and mid tier clans/players an arena to duke it out in. As such, no high skilled teams or players will be allowed to participate/use their aimbots in this tournament. We listened to your feedback during Season 2, and although we’re not going to create divisions for the upcoming Season 3 of the AusNS2 ...

And so ends the June Draft Tournament. A Big thanks to everyone who played, the captains for organizing their teams, and to our lovely casters who captured all the games. We had some great rounds that were much more even this time than our previous drafts. This new format has proven to be a good formula for future drafts. We do encourage feedback, and we will take it on board when planning the next draft. For those who missed it, here is a summary of the winners and scores: The Winners: The...

Thanks to everyone that signed up! We ended up with 90 players, this is going to be epic!

Quick reminder that we are going to be using v2 of the CompMod. We still have to figure out servers because of the DZ ddos but if you run a server that we will be using, CompMod v2 needs to be installed.

Here is the final team list!

You can keep up with the scores here where the bracket is hosted and to know who you will be playing in each round!!!! This is important....
