  • Acer Predator XB270HU

144hz, IPS, g-sync, ULBM, 4ms but the total display lag is 3 which overall makes if faster then the ROG swift (4ms) and a lot faster then Benq which is 10ms. The total lag is :

Pixel Response Time Element + Estimated Signal Processing Lag

    Very in-depth review and comparision

There is only two draw backs one is the price $999 and the 2nd is the hit and miss with dead pixals to much light bleeding or dust behind the panel. But if anyone has read up on the ROG swift it's still better plus they seemed to have fixed some of the quality issues.

    Update
A good video showing the difference between a normal monitor and g-sync

    Update 2

    Acer Predator XR341CK 34" Curved Gaming Screen with G-sync 144hz @ 3440 x 1440

coming out at the 2nd Quarter

    Asus 3800R 34" Ultrawide 3440 x 1440 IPS 21:9 Curved G-SYNC Monitor 100hz?
    http://www.pcper.com/news/Displays/C...G-SYNC-Monitor

Rumored to be at $1000 probably US $ there will be a TN version that will be cheaper.

LED Gaming Monitor brings on a new level of immersion. It features a 34in IPS display with a 2560 x 1080 resolution, 21:9 ultrawide aspect ratio, AMD FreeSync technology,
    The LG 34UM67-P Ultrawide FreeSync IPS 60hz @2560 x 1080 resolution
    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=32192

This is $699 at the above link it does have black equalizer like the benq but at 60hz you won't really be playing this for fps games...

Ouch a grand for a monitor, would be an improvement to my second hand lcd which I've had speakers to close to for many years and starting to go a tad green on the edges!
    Looks nice though.

All the g-sync/free sync are the same price I'm very tempted to buy this more so for the IPS. There is a free sync model coming out much cheaper probably $800 but from what I've seen g-sync is much better.

Never even knew something called g-sync exited, out of the loop
Looks good in the video clips side by side comparison.

Do note that it is one of very few 144Hz / 1440p monitors. But yeah, you can build a desktop pc that nearly runs NS2 for $1000

This is the free sync version for $699. It does however use a TN panel instead of an IPS panel though.

another one has come out at $500 24inc g-sync TN, 144hz 1ms. If your just after g-sync this is the cheapest monitor so far by $4xx.

What about something like this -
                http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=REG&A=details

I know it's cheap, but I'm really not into something fancy (and hopefully not exploding in my face).
                Bit of a worry i can't find a review?

It's a cheap 144, the only problem is it's outside of Australia. If something does go wrong it'll probably end up costing you more then having brought something locally.

found something on blurbusters about it
                  http://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1687

newegg and amazon have it listed but no user comments yet.

                  I did find a AOC 144 monitor $369.
                  http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=27647

                  as well as a 144 g-sync for $565
                  http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=28307

I had a standard AOC monitor for quite awhile it's a cheap brand but never had a problem with it. The top one is sold out but you shouldn't have a problem finding another one in Aus.

Looks like Newegg has a decent price for an Asus 144Hz monitor - $354.
